After the initial obligatory HR screening call, there was a 30 minute or phone call with the Software Director. That went pretty smooth, so I was scheduled for a several hour on-site interview. I don't think I gave the answer the Director was looking for in the first session, so the rest of the day was pretty much a waste of time, but that wasn't really Ketra's fault. The most disappointing thing was that they never provided any feedback after the on-site interview. Not even a "Dear John" email. I didn't feel like it was a good fit and wouldn't have accepted an offer anyway, but it would be nice to at least get some type of follow up after investing the time.

After a phone screening with a simple string manipulation, Ketra brought me down to their headquarters to check out the product and team. The on-site interview lasted about a whole day, meeting with four engineers and the CFO. Most interview questions were very high level, and focused more on testing and stability than algorithms or trick questions. The stuff they're building is really cool, and the engineers were great people. They make the process stress free, and treat you well.
