      Entrevista

I recently interviewed for a growth marketing role at Keragon and overall had a positive experience. The process included a recruiter intro, a call with the line manager, a take-home exercise, and a 2h presentation. I didn’t make it to the final stage with the rest of the founders. The conversations with both the recruiter & the line manager were friendly, clear, and with great flow. The exercise and presentation were well structured, and I appreciated the constructive discussion throughout. Where things felt less aligned was the expectations. Keragon seems extremely selective, to the point of searching for a “needle in the haystack.” The role has been advertised for months, and after my interview they expanded the hiring region to widen the talent pool. It left me with the impression that the team may have an ideal, almost perfectly matched candidate in mind, which can make the process feel a bit unrealistic for strong applicants who meet the brief but not the unspoken extras. Great people and respectful conversations, but candidates should expect a long, highly selective process and very specific expectations.

      Pregunta 1

Tell me about yourself and your last role, experience across the main marketing areas and assign a traffic-light colour to each based on your confidence level, did you use AI tools at any stage of the exercise and if so, how?, examples of other PLG companies that do a good job, etc

      Entrevista

The interview process was quite demanding, involving multiple rounds, a substantial take-home project with three detailed components, and a two-hour live review session with a founder and members of the team. The assignments required deep analysis of the product, onboarding flows, growth strategy, prioritisation, and customer segmentation, followed by extended discussions where candidates were expected to rigorously defend their thinking. Overall, the process felt closer to a consulting or working engagement than a traditional interview and required a significant time commitment. The expectations placed on candidates were extremely high and appeared to be aimed at a very narrow or exceptional profile rather than a typical senior hire. One point of difficulty was some ambiguity around how the work being evaluated reflected a potential future market segment rather than the company’s current core market. This made it harder to calibrate what “good” or “successful” output looked like and raised questions about how the work would ultimately be used. Feedback throughout the process was consistently positive. I was told that I had gone the extra mile, that my work exceeded expectations, and that my approach was both thorough and professional. When I asked for clarity on why I was not offered the role, the only explanation given was that I was not considered an “AI native,” a term that was not clearly defined. The people involved were thoughtful and respectful, and I believe I would have worked well with them had they been willing to take a chance. However, candidates should be aware that the process is intense, time-heavy, and sets a very high bar that may not be clearly articulated upfront. The role has been advertised for 10+ months as of this post and remains unfilled.

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

How would you prioritise channels at an early stage versus long-term? How would you approach onboarding and activation at scale? How would you use AI or automation to improve prioritisation and decision-making? Why did you make certain strategic trade-offs, and what would you do differently?
