Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Kearney (New York, NY) en may 2024
Entrevista
I've interviewed with most of the big consulting firms at one point or another this was one of the more disorganized recruitment processes i've dealt with.
A recruiter reached out on linkedin to schedule an initial screening via zoom. Went well enough, so I was then scheduled to interview with two managing directors. Both interviews were then rescheduled (no worries), but then one was cancelled all together, but I had to reach out to learn that after not seeing the new calendar invite come through. There were multiple points of recruitment contact while this was happening, so never sure who to reach out to.
Whats odd is that I was never asked to officially apply for the position in an ATS.
I took time off work and had an interview with a managing director level person - by no means did it go poorly, but then I was completely ghosted by the 3 recruitment points of contact I had previously. No feedback, no rejection, just radio silence after following up multiple times. I can understanding being ghosted at the phone screen point, but taking time off work to meet with an MD, I think its in pretty poor taste to just ghost a candidate.
Anyways, very odd process, felt chaotic and not well defined. I think they need some consultants to come in and write some SOPs / best practices :)

Typical experiential questions, what technical capabilities do you have, why Kearney, what is driving the desire to switch, behavioral tell me about a time with a difficult client type questions.

Entrevista
Rigorous process with 6-7 rounds of interviews with partners and principals. The case interviews are really interviewee-led, and more challenging than the BA/Associate level emphasizing on tangible data needed, where to get data, and how to structure a team/workplan.

Given the scope and context of the case, how would you structure the team, resources, time, and activities for each workstream?
First round case second round behavioural detailed - easier than McKinsey behavioural, harder than Bain BCG. Written case for certain teams with detailed presentation. Generalist role doesn’t require presentations and written case studies
