From the outset, she clearly recognised that my experience was above the level of the position. She openly shared that after discussing my profile with the hiring manager, they were fully aware that I would likely be positioned at a higher salary level than the role may have originally been benchmarked for. Despite that, they still wanted to meet with me, understand my background, and learn more about my expectations. I found that level of openness refreshing. Rather than following a rigid process, they approached the conversation with honesty, respect, and genuine interest in getting to know me. She also explained that additional opportunities are expected to arise over the coming months, and encouraged me to keep an eye on future roles that may be better aligned with my level of expertise. The whole experience left a very positive impression on me. The transparency, professionalism, and respect shown throughout the process genuinely increased my desire to work for this company in the future.
