I got a call from HR and had initial discussion about the work and my expectations regarding the work and CTC. After we agreed upon some X amount of Fixed + Others, HR scheduled my interview.
There were 4 rounds of virtual discussions/interview and feedback given to me was exciting. And then comes the salary part. So as per discussion before the interview X amount was asked from the employer but HR seems to be not fulfilling promises made by HR himself/herself. And then they started making excuses about Covid-19, started saying that a particular round didn't go well (which was exciting before the salary discussion). And then they didn't show up for few weeks. I called the HR one day and then funny part is that they started asking me for 0.75X fixed part to work out the offer. I said No.
Recommendations from my side: they are looking for excellent engineers with NO MONEY. What they were trying to offer me was way less than my current CTC.
I am working in a far better company than KLA.
Totally immature company.
I wasted my 1 month or so.
Don't waste yours.

First round was online hackerrank AI interview. There were 3 questions. If we solve one question then only next question will be listed. one question is easy level. 2nd question is of medium level difficulty. Was stuck in 2nd question.

There was a video call interview round for KLA Chennai
The panel was online and i was given a coding question.
They had a coding platform
There were test cases to be passed.
The panel was very patient and helped me with hints.
The coding round was of moderate difficulty related to an arraylist type solution for the question.
I had forgotten the syntax for the C++ stl.
So i was not slected for next round of interview.
