Super clear from the HR side about what to expect and the process. A standard process generally. All digital with the option of going in in person. Spoke to various team members at different levels.

The process started positively and then gradually got worse and worse… by the end putting me off the company entirely.
Pros:
-The people I met were intelligent, personable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the business.
-Interesting role
Cons:
-The process dragged out to six stages over two+ months, despite originally being described as three to four. Extra interviews were added at each step with little clarity.
-A major policy change (from “remote-first” to mandatory three days per week in the London office) was only communicated very late in the process and is still not reflected on the company’s careers website (their whole ethos previously was remote-first, so a bizarre flip). They failed to tell me this until I’d already spent two weeks working on a lengthy task. They knew this was out of order, and in fairness I did appreciate the hiring manager apologetically phoning me after. The most frustrating thing however is that the hiring manager and every single person I’d met worked in different global offices, but I would still have been forced to commute two hours each way (to sit in a London office with no direct team there and dial into global calls? Please make it make sense!)
-Final feedback after such a lengthy process was very generic and non-specific, despite the significant time investment on my part.
Luckily I have an opportunity elsewhere now and had already decided against the role based on the above before I got a generic rejection but it could have been handled a lot better and not left me feeling that I ultimately wasted two months of my time.
This process was excruciatingly long from application to final rejection with all rounds of interviews (6+ weeks with me constantly having to follow up). The entire process has taken other companies less than a week, this was just a waste of everybody's time.
