      Entrevista

I applied online at their website on a Monday and got called the next day to set up an interview on Wednesday my interview was at 11 a.m on Wednesday morning. I got there and walked around the store for awhile, then asked a sales associate where I was supposed to go for the interview, he gave me directions and I waited in the designated area, 4 other people showed up a few minutes after me. There was me (17) two other young girls one (19) and the other also a senior in high school like myself, also a woman in her mid 40's and a man in his upper 30's I believe. The interviewer (which later I was told was the main manager, above everyone) came and got us at nearly exactly 11 and asked us to come in, she was super nice and laid-back she sat us down in their training room/interviewing room and told us it was going to be a group interview and asked us to just relax and not feel pressured at all. It was really easy going so much more laid back then I had initially thought it would be. She started off by asking us to say something unique about ourselves, after she took a few notes she gave us each a paper with two different technologies or departments, we were to choose one and pitch the idea to the group (it really isn't that bad) the facts are on the paper you just have to present it and try to sell your idea to the group. After that she pulled out a box of blocks and told us we were going to play a little game that really wasn't retail related but wanted us to have fun with it. She would show a picture of a block tower (on her ipad) to one of us and we had 10 seconds to look at it, after those 10 seconds we had 60 seconds to tell the group what to do with the blocks and how to build the tower after the 60 seconds the next person would look at the picture and tell the group what to do next all the while the person that looked at the picture cannot touch the blocks, the goal is to build the entire tower in 15 minutes, ours fell down twice so we did not make it but it was very fun! The manager asked us what that activity taught us the responses were things like communication, teamwork, patience etc... after that she took us back to her office one by one, I was last and all she asked me about was my availability and working days like black friday and the day after Christmas I was available for all those days and since I was applying for part-time she asked about my school and if I had a lot of homework they could work with my schedule she just didn't want me calling in sick later or not wanting to go to work because of homework. She also asked about past experience, I haven't had any in retail and that didn't seem to matter too much. Also since I applied for a regular job and not just seasonal she told me they were hiring all for seasonal but if I got to know my way around the store and and how to work well, get my name mentioned by customers etc... They might keep me, they keep the best of the best after the season is over. She thanked me for going and told me I would know by that afternoon, I thanked her and left. An hour and a half later (about 10 seconds after I left my 4th period) I got the call and they offered me the job starting at $8.25, I accepted and started training that same day. The interview was very laid back and fun, they absolutely love for you to smile, talk a lot and just be out there, be yourself and more outgoing if you're usually not, be the first to talk, and don't be afraid to ask questions they love it, it shows you're interested and on top of things. 3 of my friend also applied and got called either the day after or 2 days later, 1 declined the interview the other two have done the interview and start training this week. *background check only needed if you are over 18. My second day of training is today so I'm nervous/excited, goodluck everyone!

      Entrevista

Very quick and easy. Not many questions at all. It seemed she knew she was hiring me before I showed up. It was a simple one on one inside of her office. She got right to the point and did not stray. There were maybe 5 questions that she asked before asking my availability and offering me a job.

Process is very fast and convenient. I applied online and within a week I was scheduled for a group interview with about 8 other people. After the group interview the HR team takes each candidate for a brief one-on-one interview in their office. It is here that they either offer you a position or they do not.

      Entrevista

Initially an online application, which will lead to a phone call within 3 days. Then a date is set, and the interview process starts as soon as you walk in. YOu will be seated in a room with other interviewees, and it is a good idea to break the ice and talk to each other-this is important. You and the group will be lead into a room with 5 judges, and they will ask in turn for one word that would describe you. They will be relaxed and nice, follow their lead but be confident. They will hand out a sheet of paper with two ideas and a department(Kid's, women's, home) to each person. 5 minutes to pick one of the ideas and "pitch" the idea to the other interviewees. Afterwards, the whole group will pick one of the ideas that were pitched, and a presentation must be created for the judges within 10 minutes. It is a good idea to volunteer to present for the group. Afterwards, the judges will leave the room and pick at least 2 candidates to leave, meaning they will not be hired. With the remaining candidates, each one will pretend to be an employee, and help a judge with whatever they need. Be confident, ask appropriate questions[color, size, brand, etc.] and be on your toes. The judges will purposely be talkative and slightly outrageous to test you. Afterwards, they will leave the room once again, and pick who else will not get the job. There is a chance no one will be picked. Whoever is left will be given the job, and each one will come into the next room for background check and details about your position. Congrats! in a week they will give you a call about job training and hours of work.
