Experience based only on initial phone screen with recruiter. First off this is an on-site position in CA, which by law now requires disclosure of salary range in job listing. Listing did not have one? This is a NON-EXEMPT (hourly) position with VERY LOW pay rate. Job description itself was misleading, basically recruiter said what is in listing is not what I would be dealing with. Recruiter proceeded to tell me that I would be considered on the lowest end of pay rate as I did not have any "certifications" or "finance degree" (for basically similar to a customer service rep pay). For context I have a master's and 5 years work exp in industry. Recruiter explicitly said even if not advanced to next interview, she would follow-up by __ date (did not follow up at all). PLEASE, candidates are accustomed to recruiter ghosting but don't provide certain date and GUARANTEE follow-up when you clearly have no intention to. In general it seems like recruiters here do not know how to write an accurate JD or screen candidates properly.
