I applied online, and was contacted via email for a phone interview. I scheduled one with the recruiting consultant and when the time rolled around for the interview, I was not called. I tried calling and emailing the recruiting consultant to make sure there was not a wrong number, and suggested maybe it was a cell reception problem on my end (it wasn't, I tested it several times). I received a very nasty email back from the recruiter telling me she is in a meeting and not to even think about calling her again. After a couple emails back and forth, we set up another interview, which the recruiter also completely bailed on with no notice.
At this point, I was pretty frustrated since at the time, I worked in an open concept office, so taking a phone interview meant having to find a quiet conference room and wait for the call. And, the recruiter was not even remotely apologetic about her failure to call me at the scheduled time twice. I did not bother contacting the recruiter to see what went wrong the second time. If a company can't treat me with a basic level of respect during the interview process, I'd hate to see how I'd get treated if hired.
Three weeks later, she wrote again asking if I was available for a phone interview. Um, no.
