I was approached by an internal recruiter to apply for a Finance Manager position within the company. I was provided with a sample data set and asked to create a Power BI report within 24hrs, then present it to the hiring manager. The hiring manager was impressed and I proceeded to the second round. After a successful second round interview I was given a verbal offer contingent on a rushed start date to accommodate the hiring manager's outages. I agreed and let my current employer know, since they required to speak to my current manager. After a week, the offer was rescinded and communication was cutoff. I am now out of a job right before the holidays. I would encourage potential employees to avoid this company until unethical hiring practices are reviewed and fixed.
