Entrevista
I applied for the position and 3 weeks later I was contacted to arrange a 20 minute telephone interview which I had to reschedule because they were slow to come back to confirm when it would take place. This was then set up as a video interview using Bluejeans software which I downloaded and tried out to make sure it was correctly set up.
On the day I made sure I was online and connected to the virtual meeting room early and waited for the recruiter from Instructure to join. Two minutes after the arranged start I got a phone call from the interviewer and it all took place over the phone and no mention was made of the Bluejeans meeting that had been arranged. The call lasted 8 minutes and was followed by a written assessment.
Once they had reviewed the written assessment I was asked if I was available for an interview that would be four days later. The day before the interview day I contacted them to check if it was taking place and to ask what time it would be and was told it would be confirmed by close of business. At 17:40 I received an email with the time and that it would be a 3 person panel the next day.
I was told who to ask for at the shared reception but unfortunately this was unmanned when I arrived for my interview and when I used one of the two intercom buttons for Instructure nobody answered so I had to hang around outside for ten minutes in the cold until I was able to tailgate.
The interview was very short and the questions were mainly asked by two of the panel. It was obvious that they were going through the motions which was frustrating.
I received an email two working days later to say I was unsuccessful. The email looked like a cut and paste job. It started off with the implication that they weren't hiring any of the applicants but in the next paragraph made clear that no, it was just me they weren't interested in.

I was first interviewed by the HR recruiter, then by the manager, and then by the team members. It all happened on the same day, and so it was a longer interview, but at least I did not have to come back for extra interviews. It was nice because the last part of the interview was with people I would actually be working with, not just my managers.
