I interviewed for a freelance role supporting a large-scale digital project, and the process was thoughtful, efficient, and gave me a strong sense of the team and how they work. The hiring manager round with the UX Director focused more on how I think through real-world design challenges. It was a deeper discussion about decision-making at scale. The conversation was rigorous but positive, and it was clear the director is invested in both design quality, team and project success. Overall, the process felt well-structured for a freelance role — thorough enough to understand expectations, but also respectful of time. It left me with a strong impression of a thoughtful UX team doing meaningful, high-visibility work.
