I applied online via another source. I was contacted by one of the photo editors within a few days. My first clue that this was not a good fit was that she attempted to set up a time for our interview and then never confirmed. If you have to follow up on setting up your own interview, that's not a great sign. A week or so later, I met with two of the Senior Photo Editors. The interview seemed to go well and I was told they would let me know either way. Surprise surprise, no one got back to me. When I followed up on my own, I was simply told they had decided to "go in a different direction". It's worth noting that one of the questions asked in the interview was about script reading experience, which struck me as odd for a metadata editor position. They seemed to want someone with this experience. In the end, they expected quite a lot from candidates considering they were paying minimum wage for the position. The overall atmosphere in the office seemed disorganized and a bit unprofessional. There was a noticeable lack of diversity, both racially and age-wise, with most employees being white and under 30. I didn't get the sense that I would have felt comfortable or happy working there.
