      Solicitud

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en InAllMedia (Lima, Lima) en abr 2024

      Entrevista

They contacted me through LinkedIn. I had a meeting with the recruiter, they sent a code challenge of 2 hours. Then we had a Technical Interview of 1 hour. Then they sent an offer. The process was quick, but they were not very forthcoming with information about the project and its composition, day-to-day tasks, etc. They forgot to send me information they agreed to send a couple of times. I think they are a bit disorganized. They wanted me to sign the contract before learning more about the project and what I was going to be doing. To sign the contract, they requested a lot of information, which I wasn't totally comfortable sharing through email. They don't have a secure platform to send sensitive private information. My experience wasn't totally positive. I had requested 2 weeks’ notice, but they requested if I could start working next week, I did my best to accommodate since my previous commitment allowed for flexibility. But later they told me that creating credentials would take longer so they moved the start date from Monday to Wednesday. Throughout the process I kept asking for more information about the project and day to day tasks but they always failed to deliver. My initial understanding was that I was going to join an existing team, but later they told me it was a new team doing something new. And they were going to schedule a meet and greet with the client after I signed the contract so I could learn more about my expected activities. Sadly, at the end when I was going to sign the contract, I received an unexpected offer from another company for a Tech Lead position. So, I apologized and told them I wasn’t going to be able to accept the offer and they asked me to join in a call. I thought they were going to try to negotiate like usually happens in these situations but instead they tried to force me to accept. I understand they were upset but the way they handled the situation was unprofessional. They need to improve their organization, because to be honest I was convinced that the actual offer was going to be the document they were going to send. And they also need to be more forthcoming with information about the position. They only offer salary compensation by the hour, but they are very flexible regarding where you work from, etc. So, I think even though they don't have other benefits it is worthwhile to work with them. And despite the negative aspects of this experience I think their team seems nice and the Tech Team seems knowledgeable and would work with them in the future.
