Initially I was contacted over the phone and did a 10-15 minute phone screen. Next, I did a 1:1 (over 1 hour long) with the hiring manager for the role with BD. Finally, I completed an interview with the hiring manager and BD contractor assigned to the project. I left the interview feeling very positive and was informed that I would be contacted within a couple of weeks. I was NEVER contacted after the interview after I had sent a follow up email. The hiring manager emailed me 2 months after the fact saying "the role has been filled, I probably should have let you know". Extremely unprofessional coming from management.
