The first interview started with an in-person 30-minute interview with the hiring manager at a conference, followed by a followup 1-hr phone interview from HR in Wichita 3-weeks later. Then I was invited to SC with dinner the night before in Columbia with 5 members of the team, followed by 3 interview panels of 2 each the next day, a 1-hr job talk on graduate research, lunch, 1 two-personal panel interview, followed by site tour. Total day on-site was 8a-3pm. It is a long day. Be sure to plan for a 45-minute drive from the downtown Columbia Hilton, which is where the lodging was located, to the site in Lugoff, SC.
