Very confusing for everyone involved. Careful about wasting letters of recommendations for this place, they have many applicants and have lots of application mismanagement because they fundamentally don't care. There are other options. Very opaque project selection process, you have to write by name the codes of 3 projects. In my case they managed to miscopy, and I was contacted extremely late by a group that had nothing to do with my selection. Later I refused to do this interview. I never received a rejection letter for my other interviews (did HR misinterpret my interview rejection with a flat out rejection?)
