I recently interviewed for an SEO/PR position at IG Index and was impressed by the entire interview process and professionalism demonstrated every step of the way. I felt this was a clear reflection of the standards IG upholds when recruiting new talent for the business.
In the first interview, I met with a friendly and professional lady who was prepared with a set of questions to ask on her laptop regarding my online marketing knowledge. She did not hesitate to ask me technical questions about my previous SEO experience which I thought was a great indication that she was searching for the right individual.
As she asked me questions about SEO she also typed up notes regarding my responses. She also gave me the opportunity to meet with another member of the team during this interview, which I thought was a nice way to get a sense of other new potential colleagues.
For the second stage interview, I met with the same manager and a more senior manager of the SEO team. For this interview, I had been given a prompt beforehand and prepared a presentation for both of them with ideas for potential campaigns. They were both attentive as I gave my presentation and also asked me questions at the end about my ideas and how I would implement them. I found them both to be very positive and engaging.
I have not started working at IG yet but will start in April. I already feel confident this will be a good place to work because of the care and attention given during the interview process. I truly feel like they want the best candidates and talent working for them. I’m really looking forward to starting soon!

Entrevista
The whole process took more than 2 months, started with initial email queries from HR, and then a call from HR, which then followed by an interview with the hiring manager of this role. Finally, a presentation + interview with the same hiring manager and Head of SEO.
I am a bit disappointed with the process as they finally decided to move this role to China two weeks after they called me and gave me positive feedback on my final interview and indicated that they would like to move to next stage once extra VISA fee can be signed off. So obviously, they didn't consider and evaluate the costs of my role very well in the first place which leads to such a confusing outcome. I personally think it is a waste of time when looking back now.

Entrevista
The interview lasted 5 minutes maximum, as the interviewer didn't ask me many questions. She didn't seem to be prepared, and I felt like I lost time and money to attend this interview. It was very disappointing.
