What an ordeal. Almost four weeks, five interviews and an online personality quiz. I found the process dehumanizing and discourteous. Radio silence from the HR person after every step of the process. Hiring manager and his manager wanted to bring me on board, but this HR person took some results from the personality test and made a decision without providing a chance to refute anything. Lesson learned: there are in fact "wrong" answers, even though they tell there are no right or wrong answers. Next time I will lie to skew the answers. IDEX H&S HR local person was great; this was some high up in Chicago. No technical knowledge whatsoever, unable to judge anything but what some ridiculous test says. Never asked me about myself, my interests, my hobbies, my family. Paid no attention, apparently, to excellent references. Very disappointing.
