      For the Relationship Manager interview at ICICI Home Finance, the selection process usually has 3 rounds. I’ll explain each round in detail so you know what happens, what they check, and how to answer. ⸻ 1️⃣ Round 1: Just-A-Minute (JAM Round) What it is In this round, the interviewer gives you a topic and asks you to speak for 1 minute continuously. They check: • Communication skills • Confidence • Clarity of thoughts • Basic knowledge How it works 1. They give a topic. 2. You get 10–20 seconds to think. 3. You speak for 1 minute. Common Topics Examples: • Banking sector in India • Home loans • Importance of customer service • Digital banking • My strengths • Why sales is important • Financial literacy • Real estate market Example Answer (Home Loans) Example structure: Introduction (10 sec) “Home loan is one of the most important financial products in the banking sector. It helps individuals purchase their dream home without paying the full amount at once.” Body (40 sec) “Banks and housing finance companies like ICICI Home Finance provide loans with flexible repayment options. Customers can repay through EMIs over 15–30 years. Home loans also provide tax benefits under Income Tax Act sections 80C and 24. Due to increasing real estate demand, home loan products are becoming very important in the financial market.” Conclusion (10 sec) “In conclusion, home loans play a major role in helping people achieve home ownership and contribute to growth of the real estate sector.” Tips ✔ Speak clearly ✔ Don’t stop in between ✔ Structure: Intro → Explanation → Conclusion ✔ Maintain eye contact ⸻ 2️⃣ Round 2: Group Discussion (GD) What it is A group of 6–10 candidates discuss a topic for 10–15 minutes. What they evaluate • Leadership • Communication • Confidence • Teamwork • Logical thinking • Listening skills Possible GD Topics Banking / Finance: • Future of digital banking • Impact of interest rates on housing loans • Importance of financial literacy • Real estate growth in India General Topics: • AI replacing jobs • Online vs offline education • Social media advantages and disadvantages • Startup culture in India ⸻ How GD Happens 1. Topic is given. 2. 1 minute thinking time. 3. Discussion starts. How to Perform Well ✔ Start the discussion if possible ✔ Speak 2–3 times during discussion ✔ Don’t interrupt others ✔ Support points with logic ⸻ Example GD Point (Digital Banking) “Digital banking has transformed the financial sector by making transactions faster and more convenient. Customers can apply for home loans, check EMI details, and track applications online. However, cybersecurity risks and digital literacy challenges still exist. Therefore, banks must focus on both technology and customer education.” ⸻ 3️⃣ Round 3: Personal Interview (PI) This is the most important round. Usually conducted by: • Branch Manager • Sales Manager • HR They check: • Sales ability • Finance knowledge • Customer handling • Personality • Experience ⸻ Common Questions in Personal Interview 1️⃣ Tell me about yourself Example answer: “I completed my MBA in Finance and currently I am working as a Relationship Manager at ICICI Home Finance. My role involves sourcing home loan customers, understanding their financial requirements, guiding them through loan products, and maintaining strong customer relationships. I have developed strong skills in sales, customer handling, and financial product understanding. I am now looking for opportunities to further grow in the banking and financial services sector.” ⸻ 2️⃣ What does a Relationship Manager do? Answer: “A Relationship Manager is responsible for acquiring new customers, maintaining relationships with existing customers, understanding their financial needs, and providing suitable financial products such as home loans, loan against property, and insurance. Answer: “A home loan is a secured loan provided by banks or housing finance companies to individuals for purchasing, constructing, or renovating a house. The borrower repays the loan through monthly EMIs over a fixed tenure along with interest.”
