I had a disappointing experience with this company due to poor communication and hasty decision‑making during the hiring process.
I went through an interview process that lasted several weeks, during which communication was generally smooth and professional. As the process continued, I became genuinely excited about the internship and confident that it was a strong fit for my skills and goals. I was ultimately extended an offer, which I was happy and prepared to accept.
At the time of the offer, I made it clear that I was fully willing to begin whenever the company needed me to and was flexible with my availability. I also mentioned that my ideal start date would be a few months later, depending on their needs. I was told that the team would follow up with me regarding whether a later start date would be an option.
Unfortunately, instead of following up or discussing the matter further, the company rescinded the offer and filled the position without any additional communication. There was no opportunity for clarification or conversation, which was both surprising and discouraging after such a lengthy interview process.
This experience left me feeling that my application and time were handled carelessly. Asking a reasonable question about start date flexibility resulted in the immediate loss of an offer I had already received.
I believe this company would benefit from clearer, more respectful communication with candidates—especially after extending an offer.
