We used to use a 2 person interview process. We felt that it might lead the interviewee with the impression that they were getting grilled and moved to a different format. Our interviews have never been confrontational (what would that accomplish?) but some applicants have less practical experience than their resumes would lead you to believe. This is obviously from a few years ago and we did hire a great employee at that time.
