It was unlike anything I've ever experienced in the sense that you have many people waiting for the same interviewers together and they do have a few slides in the office. The initial phone screen with HR was very standard, but by the time I was halfway through my interviews, I didn't want to work there. I know someone who IS very happy there on another team, so it may have been more of a mismatch than anything else.

One of my interviewers seemed really hung up on how I formatted a writing sample, and I'm still not sure why that was such a big deal to her. Some of the interviews were more technical than others.

The total duration spanned 6 months! I applied, got the initial response in 6 weeks, after that 3-4 interviews, a writing test, and then they just ghosted me. Absolute waste of time and effort. Very unprofessional.

For one interview, they kept me there for nearly 3 hours!
First, I had the written test (a proofreading exercise plus the pb & j question). That took an hour.
Then I met with the recruiter and head of documentation for about a half hour.
Moved to the tech guy (basically testing you on computer proficiency). Another 30 minutes.
Then met with 3 technical writers for about 40 minutes.

Entrevista
After filling out the application online, I was asked to submit a technical writing sample. A few days later, I was asked to come in for an interview (no phone interview was involved for this position). I spoke with the recruiter and the head of the Documentation department. Both were very kind people who obviously cared about the position and went out of their way to answer my questions.
