Long. Interviewed with over 8 employees from hiring manager, other managers, potential colleagues, director, multiple vp, and hr. Each interview was over an hour plus many hours of prep for each. I invested a lot of time and everything seemed to be great, connected with each individual I talked with. I then received the automated email rejecting me, after ~ 2 months of interviewing. No feedback or explanation. I send a polite email to each manager asking for feedback, which I think is fare considering the time, effort I put in. I recieved an email back from HR telling me not to contact the managers again. Anyone of the managers, directors, vps, I talked to could have picked up the phone and gave me a quick call (my phone number was in my signature) and said something like "hey we went in a different direction with someone that had more xyz experience" but instead decided to tell HR on me, which is very comical. Shows the type of company they are. Dodged a bullet there.
