Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en Humana (Jackson, MS) en jun 2011

      Entrevista

I applied online on Humana's website for the Personal Nurse position. I received a phone call the next day from the recruiter. She left me a voice mail saying that she was "very interested" in speaking with me about the position. I called her back and she wanted to do a telephone interview right then but I was at work. So we arranged for my next day off for her to call me at 10:00am central time. I mention this because she said she was calling from a different time zone and made a point to say "10:00am your time so that's 11:00am my time" So I researched the company and the position quickly and prepared myself for my telephone call. Then.... No call. I decided that maybe she or I wrote it down wrong since she said something about the different time zones so around 11:20 my time I called her to double check to see if I really screwed up my time or day or whatever. She answered the phone very unenthusiastically and almost exasperated. I reintroduced myself and told her that I was calling to verify my phone interview and that I hadn't heard from her and wanted to make sure I hadn't gotten the date or time wrong. Nonchalantly she said "Oh, well they have switched my computer to (some new system) and all my stuff is messed up and so is my calendar. Let me look" Then she said "Yep, there it is.. Do you still have time?" And I told her yes. So we proceeded with the interview and she went into detail about the position and what all was involved. And asked me typical job interview questions. Then she was telling me about the next phase of the process and what I should expect next and right when she was about to get off the phone she said "Oh yeah, I forgot to ask, what's your highest level of education completed?" and I told her I had my Associates in Nursing. Then a pause "Oh.......... You're not qualified...... You have to have a bachelors........ Some how I missed that ........ Nope I'm sorry, you are not qualified." I did pause a minute because I was embarrassed, I clearly put on my resume and the job application that I had my associates, and I didn't know what to say. Then she said "Hello? Did you hang up?" and I said "No, I'm sorry I didn't realize that" It was very awkward to say the least, and she asked if I had considered going back to school, and then told me a couple of other positions that I could apply for with an associates. I guess it was one for one, I didn't see in the posting where it required a bachelors and she didn't see where I had an associates. And maybe I just caught her on an off day, but the whole process seemed very disorganized.
