I applied online and I was contacted for an interview. I was not in DC at the time but it wasn't a problem. The phone interview lasted approximately 20 minutes, and the next day I was notified of my acceptance.

The interview is very comprehensive on your interests and department-specific topics. The interview itself is both informational and an exploration into whether you are a compatible fit for the individual and scholar you would be directly working with.

Entrevista
The interview process was very straightforward. They were really good at communicating and about their expectations. They gave lots of information about the position and the reason they are doing the work they are doing which was nice.

Entrevista
Very straightforward, no trick questions. Mostly the basics on your personal, academic, and professional background. You'll likely hear them ask about your experiences in formal academic writing and your teamwork abilities in the past. Draw as much as you can on previous think tank experiences.
