Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 semana. Acudí a una entrevista en HubSpot en jun 2019

      Entrevista

I applied online through LinkedIn and received an email shortly afterwards to schedule a phone interview. The phone screen lasted about 20-30 minutes. I was asked some basic questions about who I was, my knowledge of HubSpot, and why I left my previous position. Then I was given the chance to ask questions, which I had quite a few prepared. One thing worth noting, is that while asking about the work shifts, I asked about weekend shifts. I had (apparently mistakenly) thought that I read somewhere that the customer support position had weekend shifts. The interviewers seemed a a bit annoyed with that question. Maybe because he had spoken to candidates before who really wanted a weekend shift? I was just asking for clarification myself. The phone screen ended with the interviewer asking for my salary expectations. And I was told that the answer I gave was "right on the nose". After the interview was over, I was told that I would receive a follow-up by email either later that day or the next day. That was yesterday, and I received the email today. It was a generic email telling me that they would not be moving forward with my candidacy. I'm not sure why I didn't pass the phone screen process, since it seemed to go okay to me. A generic rejection email is to be expected with most companies. But I was a bit disappointed, since the reviews here say that HubSpot prides itself in giving feedback every step of the interview process. I guess the phone screen isn't included in that. I am just a bit frustrated that I never got a chance to answer any questions about the job itself. Especially since I have the qualifications and experience for the position.

Hi there - thanks for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry you felt that your interviewer was annoyed with your question about weekend shifts - it's good feedback for us to take back to our team. On the feedback - while we do commit to proactively giving personalized feedback to anyone who makes it past the stage of interviewing over the phone with a recruiter, given the volume of candidates we see earlier in the process it's challenging to ensure we get to every single person. If you are looking for specific feedback, you should feel free to reach out to your recruiter and he will be able to schedule a follow up feedback call with you. Best of luck in your job search! Best, Becky
