How will you explain distillation to a Primary 5 student?

Explain to the student that for different materials e.g. liquids, have different boiling points. In order to separate the mixture of 2 different liquids, we will need to change one of the lower boiling point liquid into gaseous state to eventually separate it from the heavier liquid
