There were three interview rounds: HR, team lead, and a final with a director that included a presentation. In the final round, they asked for an unpaid audit of a real account. This raised concerns, as audits are time-intensive and require significant effort. It felt like free consulting. A shorter, skills-focused assignment would have been a more appropriate and respectful way to assess capabilities. Despite being told I was one of two finalists, I received a generic rejection email with no feedback. For a company that requires such a high level of effort and commitment from applicants, I’d expect a more personal and professional close to the process. It left the impression that they don’t value candidates’ time or contributions, and made me question how they treat employees. A company that expects the most but gives the least sends a clear message about its culture.
