I had applied online for Event Manager with Holland America Line at the beginning of October 2011. A few days later I was contacted by the Casting Manager via email and asked if I was interested in setting up a time for a phone interview. I gladly accepted for an interview a few days later. He stated he would call me. At the agreed upon time, my phone never rang. So I waited 10 minutes and called him. He had left for the day and forgot about the interview. I left him a voicemail and he emailed me to set up another time for a phone interview. We agreed on the next week. After finally receiving the initial phone interview, he notified me that I would need to schedule a phone interview with his boss, the Programming Manager. I gladly accepted and had a phone interview two weeks later. After my second phone interview, all was quite for another three weeks. Then I received a call from the Casting Manager letting me know they wanted me to fly to Seattle for an interview the following Monday. They paid for all expenses and I had a one on one interview with the Casting Manager in person, which was about two hours in length and included going for coffee. Two weeks later I was offered a position as Event Manager. I did not start the position for another six weeks, as this is when the contract would start.
