      Entrevista

      I was invited to a one way interview as the first round. I normally bring with me about ten questions to ask the recruiter and have a strategy for how I can try and lead the conversation when it comes to interview. I found that the rigid four video questions that were asked of me were not enough to properly understand my skills and experience. I was able to discern perhaps I didn't have enough experience with specific products, however, I knew that I had relevant industry experience which would've put myself leagues ahead of the other candidates. I received a generic rejection email afterward advising that it was not because of me as a person. I know for a fact that the 1 way video interviews is to allow recruiters and hiring managers to be able to filter out older people, women and coloured candidates, so I know this was a generic email. I would be understanding of 1 way interviews if it was the final round and gave me some brain crunch questions rather than questions like tell me about yourself.
