I applied online earlier this year and had an interview with a recruiter and a manager. Both included general get-to-know-you questions and learning about prior work experience. The recruiter and manager seemed nice. After that, I was sent a take home assessment. I was given a week to solve a coding problem focused on a food dataset. The overall process was described as intro interview -> take home assessment -> system design -> final, more informal interview For the take home assessment: The expectation was to have- working Python script, data validation, unit test cases, description of DevOps approach in a production environment, and a readme explanation on how to run the script and problem solving approach. I took PTO from my current job just to work on this. I received a rejection and It was very frustrating. I thought I had the problem figured out, and I even spent time setting up an environment on my own machine just to do the assignment. I asked for feedback and was sent a generic list of bullet points, some conflicting with one another. This feels like the type of company to get free work out of candidates, knowing that the job market is competitive for tech. I would not apply here again
