Process was fine There was a live task for the second round which actually felt better than a prepped task Last stage is in person which can be inconvenient when you are still in your current role but team were nice

The interview process was 5-6 stages long. It consisted of a phone screen with a recruiter, then a quick video call with the hiring manager, then a take home test (48-hour deadline and was a very detailed excel test which included data and decision making scenarios), then I had a video call panel interview with 3 additional team members, after that the recruiter asked me to use their 3rd party vender to submit for a background and employment verification check as we scheduled a FINAL interview with another senior manager on the team. After each interview every team member continued to positively talk about my experience and how I would be a good fit for the team. As I waited to hear back from the recruiter/hiring manger (fully expecting an offer as they started a background check and employment verification) I received an automated rejection email for the role. I am a professional who has a lot of experience in this field and while obviously their decision to move forward in another direction was disappointing, I understood it was final. I decided to reach out and ask for feedback, as going through 6 rounds of interviews to receive an automated rejection is really rude and disrespectful of candidates' time -- I was ghosted. Needless to say this was a VERY exhausting interview process to be treated with no respect. Wishing that team the best but have to this left a bad taste in my mouth for future opportunities to work for or USE HelloFresh. QUICK TIP; If you're going to ghost candidates, don't use their addresses to start sending them mailer offers --- trust me they won't be using them.
