The process was very smooth and while it had many steps I wouldn't expect anything less.
I spoke to an external recruiter then an internal Head of Talent before meeting the CEO, a separate call with a few of the marketing team and and then presenting a brand plan to a panel.
I was given plenty of opportunity to discuss the role, the ambitions for the brands and what success would look like for this role throughout the process.
The multi-step process gave me a chance to meet peers and some of my team which I valued enormously as it's a great way to sense check culture plus do a chemistry check on both sides.
From my perspective it was important to understand the expectations of this role and the value put on it as it is a new function within the business.
