Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Heavy Iron Studios en feb 2016
Entrevista
It was a telephonic interview. And the first part of the interview went really good. Normal chat about who I am and what the company does.
The real problem was the technical phone interview. The interview was supposed to last for 45 minutes.
The technical recruiter started asking me about Virtual Functions in C++. I told her what they are. Gave her an example of how they are used.
She asked me other related questions to virtual functions. I answered all but one. Then she again asked me to give an example of virtual functions. I gave the same example again, thinking that she couldn't understand the first time.
She asked other related questions, mostly on syntaxes of virtual functions and the use. I answered. She again asked for an example. Now I was pretty confused what is happening around here.
I mentioned, when I was giving the same example again, "as I mentioned earlier..." and gave the example. By this time she got confused and apologized that she couldn't hear me before and giggled. She grilled me on Virtual Functions for 15 minutes because she couldn't hear me the whole time.
She then moved on with other questions. Some basic 3D maths questions. And then one collision optimization question, which I might have answered wrong.

Entrevista
Technical discussion on C++ and gameplay relevant topics. Coding was done by word of mouth. Tested OOP knowledge, and what I knew about dynamic memory allocation. Discussed 3d math applications for collision detection and tests understanding of what code is optimal and what is not.
