The initial screening with the recruiter went well. She was very nice and guided me through the entire process.
The second interview was a 1:1 with Vishal Parikh. Unfortunately, he was on his phone half the time. He continued to ask the same questions over and over - since he wasn't paying attention.
The last part was a presentation with 5 people (recruiter, CEO, CTO, etc). An archaic an unnecessary brag in accomplishments fiasco. The CEO Munjal Shah was on video conference. Munjal was on the phone the entire time as well. Apparently, he was fixated on my projects and volunteering outside of work. His comments alluded to the idea that they were distractions from work.
By this interview process alone, it does appear that they want people to commit 100% of their life to work. No outside distraction - personal projects, volunteering, etc. This is terribly unhealthy for a company that focuses on "health."
I was close to storming out of the presentation due to the lack of respect toward my personal interests and the CEO being on his phone the entire time. You can sense that he feels more important than anyone else. However, those around him are afraid to speak out.
I feel this process helped me digest the culture and avoid a position where my interests are not being cared of.
