Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Health Care DataWorks (Columbus, OH) en mar 2013

      Entrevista

I reach out for this position posted on linked in on February 2013. The HR manager contacted me by the end of the month and ask me for dates and times for a job interview. I provided a wide range of dates to meet. A week later I met her along with the Product owner for who's development line was the job opening, he was a super nice guy also I got interview by the company senior Data modeler (great guy) the interview went great according to them and it took around 3 hours overall. I got a second interview 2 weeks later again on site but this time the interviewers were 3 members of the team the job opening was for they interview me all at the same time on a panel trowing questions at me. The team members were great and the interview was over a couple of hours. Then that same day I got an opportunity to meet all team members and work area. That same day the CTO interview me for around an hour I felt he was being obtuse on his scenarios and he didn't love my solutions but I think they were good enough. So I made it to the third and last round of interviews by the end of March this time the interview was with the Company's President . The third interview was over the phone. I spoke to the company's President she called me 15 min. late she was on a hurry for another meeting. The interview went south really fast, I could not understand her accent well (shes is not native from the US) the questions asked were too elaborate for the simple answers need it. I felt awkward I rarely felt this way in the past specially not on a job interview. I have 11 years of experience in IT and she make me feel like I was not "good enough" for them. The interview didn't last more than 30 minutes but she made her mind on the first 5.

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

They ask me to draw a diagram on 3rd. NF based on a file with a certain format he provided on the board that included fields like "Physician name", "date of service", "Physician type" , etc. I modeled and it was great then he ask me to do it on star schema based on reports he wanted to produce. The scenarios requested were nor clearly defined ( Again no clear direction or any specifics ) bottom line the interviewer was looking for an answer he didn't provide much information and made things really confusing to me to design. At the end I designed what I best understand with the information I had he told me he wanted me to build bridge tables as a solution . Which industry standard dictates that are obsolete and causes performance issues. So it was not the best solution after all.
