Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 5 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Halliburton (Casper, WY) en feb 2014

      Entrevista

Applied online and two days later got a call from local hiring manager to come in for an interview. I was free so I interviewed that same afternoon. Very friendly 1 on 1 interview. Very safety orientated company. Safety was stressed in the interview. Wanted to make sure I could handle the hours (80-100 hours a week). 2 weeks on and 1 week off no pay. They are putting me through CDL hazmat training.

How have you handled a situation when you were asked to do something you felt was unsafe. Also, where do you see yourself in 5 years if hired?

Entrevista para Operator Assistant I Frac Acid

Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en Halliburton (Hobbs, NM) en may 2012

      Entrevista

I spoke to the HR rep in Hobbs, NM, and was told to submit an application online and give her a call the next day. I called the next day, and she pulled up my job app and resume, and forwarded it to a few department managers, and told me to give them a couple or few days, and if I did not get a phone call...give her a call. After 3 days, I gave her a call...she then referred me to another recruiter (supposedly the interviewer that was based in Pennsylvania), in which I tried to get a hold of for 2 days, fortunately she returned my call and asked what I needed...I told her that I was referred to her by the rep in Hobbs...she then asked me for my info, she then pulled up my info, and asked me when would I be available for an interview. I asked where is this going to take place, she said "right now, over the phone, are you ready or would you want it some other day & time?" So I said "sure...I'll do it now, why not?" Anyhow, the interview went well aside from the fact I had no experience in the oil industry or even had a CDL. I think I got the job because I answered her questions quite well, and more than likely because I explained to her what my job was in the Army (Armor Crewman--M1A1 Tanker). I did a bit of research what the position entails, and tried my best to relate my military experience to it, which helped me a lot. At the ending of the interview, she said "alright, I will forward your information and your interview results to one more group of people...then we'll give you a call or e-mail you when we have reached a decision." I received a Welcome Aboard and Offer Letter in my email within a few days 2-4 days after the interview, I can't quite remember exactly, but it didn't take a whole week for sure. Overall, the interviewing process was pretty easy. After the interviewing process, I had to complete all the paperwork needed done, medical exam, full-physical, and fitness test, and also fortunate enough to pass my CDL permit test within 1 week after my background check came back good--took 2 weeks...they gave me a full month to get things done (they gave me a start date and asked that I get things done prior to the start date because the start date is TENTATIVE towards your background check, drug test, med exam, and all that good stuff). So my experience with the hiring process was fairly easy. It all depends on the individual. It depends on how serious you are in getting the job.
