I'm sharing my experience to warn others who may be interviewing for a marketing/content role. I received positive feedback during both stages of the interview process. After spending 2.5 hours at an in-person interview with 7-8 team members, completing a written test, and sending thank-you notes, I was ghosted. The next step was interviewing with another team. I followed up with the hiring manager and still haven't received a response about a month later.
All candidates deserve clear and respectful communication. This lack of basic professionalism is a red flag that likely reflects internal issues with leadership and respect for team members.
How you treat people matters. A simple email would have sufficed. This makes an already difficult job search even more stressful. If I could go back and focus my time on other opportunities, I would. Don't waste your time.
