I got the opportunity through some recruiting agency. They kind of build a positive and interesting image of the team that was hiring at Hsbc but the reality was totally the opposite. Had to go through bunch of online information to be filled and some personality assessments. Post that had a virtual interview with the technical team. The questions were not clear and they did not bother to clarify if asked. Everything I answered was not accepted by the team. Quite rude interviewers and seems like they had already made up their mind not to hire or show interest in my application. Extremely unprofessional.

Technical round - Coding questions like leetcode challenges. You would be given 30 minutes for the coding round. You will be sharing screen while doing the code. Also another half an hour with usual Java, Spring and API design questions

Had a technical interview with the team regarding Java tech stack and skills, ways of working and response time. Spoke with 4 different engineers including the CIO. Was asked to complete a coding assessment, quite high level but allowed for critical thinking
