It was three stages: 1. I had an initial call with a recruiter where I was asked about my experience and my skills. It was a call to verify if I was what I had listed on my CV. 2. Then I had a HireVue link sent to me where I was supposed to answer data science-related questions. Things like how I would implement a fraud detection model, what would be my biggest issue when it comes to precision with building this kind of model. I was to see the question and record my answer. 3. The last stage was an interview with the team lead of the team I was going to join and a staff member working on that team. They had told me to prepare a presentation on a problem HSBC had and how I would use AI to solve it. We started with tell me about yourself questions and questions based on what was written in my CV. Then, we went into the presentation, and then we finished off with technical ML questions. They asked me how a transformer works, what an LLM is and other ML & Gen AI concepts.
