Mostly by reference, ability to help them grow. A successful, regional engineering firm but with "small-town" management approach. Growth is possible as an individual. But the "Owner above Employee" approach eventually has lead to losing more wonderful people than potentially helping the company grow. I understand this approach from a monetary standpoint, but I believe everyone would hav and will benefit more if there is trust from everyone toward management.
