Overcomplicated interview process. In the lack of a higher-ranking hiring manager (position open at that time), some department managers teamed up and declared themselves the interview board. Two out of the four members were exceptionally knowledgeable and on the spot; the other two couldn't care less and were visibly bored (yawning, texting during the interview, not paying attention, asking the same things several times). At the end of the almost 4-hour interview process, I asked not to be considered for the role anymore. I don't know if I dodged a bullet, but I no longer felt comfortable working for HARTING Elgin.
