I applied online in the beginning of December. Near the end of January, I received an email asking if anyone had contacted me yet. I had not, and we exchanged a few emails for more information, then set up a phone interview for the end of the week. I was told that I would be hearing back by the following Tuesday regardless of whether I was selected for the next round. I did not, and after several polite reminder emails, I was told that I was not selected. That's fine. However, I was also told that two candidates who were further along in the selection process were selected to proceed to the next round. This left the impression that HR was disorganized, and the delay in contacting me was the reason I was not selected to proceed.
