After taking 1 round of interview, before the managerial round, HR calls and tells they can offer only 25% on current package. This was not told earlier otherwise i would not have wasted my time.

The interview process was fine. But what happened after the interview was unthinkable. The HR was so rude while negotiation and tried to make me feel that I am already overpaid. He somehow gave me the offer with less than 25% hike. During my notice period, I was to fetch some really good offers with the significant difference in compensation, so I decided to contact HR if he could look into the compensation component because Harman was my first preference. Instead of the discussion, he started arguing and started saying if any company is paying me more than the offered package than it is above industry standards. The HR also said that he will make sure that I will not be interviewed by Samsung or Harman in the future. Imagine HR coming up with these things when the candidate is open for discussion. I strongly condemn this form of harassment.
