This was my second time to interview at Gym + Coffee and both times I was really disappointed with the interview process. Both times I was asked to come into the Dundrum store which I understand is their flagship store and also one of their smaller stores. All the staff are lovely and there is a very nice atmosphere in store however on both occasions the interview was conducted in the middle of the shop floor...surrounded by customers. Not only did I find this extremely distracting and off putting but I was a bit uncomfortable being asked questions such as where I live, where I have studied, previously worked and all of my past employment history in the middle of a busy shop where customers can hear your interview. I was extremely uncomfortable both times and do feel it negatively affected my performance in the interview. After both interviews no one bothered to contact me to let me know if I had been successful or not which I feel is quite poor.
