Very thorough interview process. I applied online through the website and was invited to an online video interview with a "talent specialist" a week or so later. After that interview, I was asked to complete a "written interview" which involved a series of scenario based questions (really appreciated the opportunity to respond in writing) and that was followed up by an additional video interview with a "talent manager". I believe the interviews were exclusively online since the hiring school is brand new and doesn't actually exist yet! I also observed in a different Guidepost school in my area during the process. As a parent who will also be sending my child to Guidepost, I was encouraged by the rigor and relevance of the questions asked. Lots of "tell me about a time when you dealt with X situation or faced Y issue with children/parents/colleagues" and "imagine XYZ happens; how do you respond?" which really pushed me to demonstrate my experience and instincts. I also found both interviewers to be warm and friendly (easy to converse with) and knowledgeable/passionate about Montessori and Guidepost as an organization.

Phone interview: about 45 minutes, asked generally easy questions. Was asked to fill out a written interview. Written interview: several pages, asking questions about hypotheticals, ex: what if a child knows the name of the letter but not its sound. Took about an hour. Final phone interview: a place to ask additional questions, there was more info given about the specific school hiring, and some continued conversations about Montessori.
