Me postulé a través de un reclutador. Acudí a una entrevista en Grow Therapy en mar 2025
Entrevista
The recruiter reached out on LinkedIn saying he thought I would be a great fit for the role. I did a phone screener with him and at the end he said he would be moving me to the next stage (an interview with the hiring manager). I filled out my availability for the interview and then a couple days later I got what seemed like an automated rejection message from Grow. Confused, I forwarded it to the recruiter and asked for clarification. He didn't respond until I followed up again 3 days later. The recruiter then told me that I would no longer be moving forward with the interview process because they are looking for someone with a more technical background. I found that odd because I had all the technical qualifications they were asking for and then some and he didnt mention this at all on the call. Overall, I was very disappointed in how the Grow team mismanaged the process and it doesn't reflect well on the team. I hope this is just a one off mistake and not common for them.

Very long and drawn out process. Neutral leaning negative was my experience. They rescheduled a few times and interviews were 2-3 weeks apart. Had a total of 7 interviews, each interview was 30-45 mins over the course of ~2 months. All interviews had case studies or exercises for the duration of the call, which I appreciated. Was told it was the last interview and that the HM was calling my references, but then had a surprise additional interview where I was asked to give a presentation. My guess is they had some reservations and wanted to see some additional skills. Didn't end up getting an offer so it appears they didn't get what they needed from my presentation.
* Recruiter screener - read off script
* Hiring manager call - discussed role and some high level questions about my approach/experience
* Technical PM interview - reviewed healthcare data modeling items
* Data modeling/data fluency interview - how to set metrics
* behavioral assessment interview - discussed how I operate with other stakeholders/teams in the org
* Product sense interview - case study to create new LinkedIn features
* Panel presentation - presented and fielded questions on a impactful product/feature I had worked on
Overall, very long process and significant time investment. Felt that the team was waffling about me, which is never a pleasant experience while interviewing, though not their fault. During the interview process, a got a LinkedIn message from the recruiter as if he didn't know who I was asking me to apply for a role at the company. Overall, my connection with the recruiter was much less personal than in other interviewing experiences - seems like they are overworked or just not invested.

I had an initial screen call with a recruiter who read off a script the entire time. They immediately give you a lengthy take-home assignment before meeting anyone from the hiring team.

You are the Product Manager for UberPool before it launches. Create a launch proposal
outlining the high level considerations for going to market and what needs to hold in order for
the feature to be positive revenue generating for the business.
Design this proposal as if it’s meant for an executive audience.
Create a launch proposal for UberPool
- Some factors to consider in the process
○ How will you decide pricing for UberPool?
○ What will have to happen in order for it to be revenue generating from Uber?
What is the size of our opportunity in general based on assumptions you’re
making?
○ How will you measure the success of the launch? What will you focus on to
dictate future decisions?
○ How will you sequence the launch?
○ What are the factors we can tweak over time with the feature? How do we make
tradeoffs between these factors?
Backgrounds:
- When thinking about metrics, we know you won’t be able to query production data but -
please specify exactly what you would measure and be as detailed as possible in
defining the metric. Based on assumptions of what the metric might show, please talk
about how that metric could impact launch or product plans.
- You can make these rough assumptions about the business:
- Most of Uber’s revenue is earned through UberX their point to point solution
- The driver’s motivation is to maximize earnings - their personal costs
- Uber’s revenue model is a 20% revenue share of the overall cost of the ride. I.E.
if a rider is charged $10, a driver receives $8 and Uber receives $2.
