First Interview - Phone Screen (20-30m)
Basic phone screen set up. It was more informative than an actual interview. I was asked a few basic questions about myself and some of my experience, but nothing out of the ordinary. Most of the time consisted of discussing the position and the interviewer answering my questions. I was told I would move onto the second interview immediately. Overall, it was a pleasant and conversational interview.
Second Interview (4 days after the first interview) - Video Call (30m)
The second interview was a case study to "test my financial knowledge." At the start, the individual briefly asked me about my experience on my resume, but then we moved onto the case study. You are given a scenario and must determine how to analyze the situation based on the question they ask. The key skill here is knowing how to answer the question, because once you know how you want to approach the case, you must know what data to ask the interviewer for your simple analysis. After I completed the case, the remainder of the time was simply the interviewer answering my questions. It took 3.5 days for me to learn I moved onto the third round of interviews, and then another week to actually schedule them.
Third Interview (3-4 weeks after the second) - On Site (3 hours)
Seven different employees interviewed me throughout the time (individually, not all at once for around 15-30m each). It may seem nerve-racking, but the employees were delightful. It was conversational in nature, mostly focused on my experience and why I want to work here over other opportunities. Each of the employees personalities shone through each round, so there are some variances per interviewer. If you are currently in my position: don't freak out, it was much more enjoyable than you think. It was fun being able to chat with each individual, showcase my passion, and be able to hold conversations with them about their experience and time at Groupon. I was offered the position within the week.
