      Entrevista

      Interview was in La Grange at the company HQ. The failicty was clean ans the pwople were professional. I met with the VP of Engineering, a manager, and one employee. The interview consisted of going through my resume, background, employment history, and some general questions. The group uses Mentor Pads and you are allowed to work on components of your choice so long as it is the better or best fit for the job. I was asked about how I liked to work: autonomously or with constant direction. What were some challenges I faced and what tools I use. Management informed me that reporting in is minimal as long as I am ahead of schedule or on time. I need to be assertive to issues and report them as soon as they come up should it look like they are going to delay the progress. Engineers are often out helping the production teams so a good rapport with people and good listening skills will be best. Mentor, coach, and learn from those who support you. Give them the tools to succeed. Take them out to lunch once and a while! This was my first interview in years so I was nerve racked and likely blew what seemed like a good opportunity. I would recommend taking a look at the component offerings and keep abreast on production standards.

      On campus interview. The interview lasted about 30 minutes, it was one on one with the recruiter. Not too many difficult questions. Mostly behavioral, one stress question. It is 3 interviews before an offer is made.
